Joyful Noise Singing School, a formation program for children aged 5-9, will introduce children to signing basics, encourage an early love of church music, and help them build confidence by singing a monthly prelude. Our January recital and Choral Evensong will be Sunday, January 4, observing the Feast of the Epiphany. The recital features prize-winning organist Mitchell Miller, a doctoral student at the Eastman School of Music, playing music of Dethier, Langlais, Whitlock, and Wright. The Parish Choir sings music of Dyson and Mendelssohn.
Each Sunday Night, the Youth of St. Francis gather for a time of food and fellowship, prayer, and fun! We meet at the Vicarage at 6:00 for dinner. After we clean up, we go to the chapel for prayer. We end the night with fun games and activities.
Each Wednesday night during the program year, our youth gather with the parish for our community Wednesday Night Dinner. They then break off into their own small group, studying the same material as Essentials Small Group Experience. The evening begins at 5:45 p.m. in Graves Hall and concludes at 7:30 p.m.
