Love Thy Neighbor Refugee Ministry

The Love Thy Neighbor Refugee Ministry is a partnership between St. Francis and Kentucky Refugee Ministries (KRM) this pairs parishioners with a refugee family in the Louisville community. Volunteers make periodic visits, provide guidance on access to community resources, and give limited provision of items like groceries or diapers. Most importantly, this initiative provides friendship and encouragement for a refugee family that faces many challenges in a new and different country. Once interested parties are identified, KRM trains volunteers and has an ongoing support role after matches are made.
