The vision of Children's Ministry is to prepare children for a lifelong commitment of faith in Jesus Christ and to bear fruit in the world; to recognize that children are disciples for Christ in the world; and to inspire and grow their hearts by providing programs and events that will help them to understand who God is, who we are in the world God created and how God can be a part of our lives.

Children's Sunday School

Sunday School teachers play a vital role in the spiritual lives of children. At St. Francis in the Fields, we are blessed with a group of loving and caring teachers for whom we are truly grateful. During the school year, September through May, toddlers through high school-age children meet each Sunday morning at 10:15 AM with their peers (by grade level) for a traditional, Bible-based Sunday School program. We always welcome friends and visitors into our classes so please stop in and see what our classes are like. We welcome you to come and meet your peers, the teachers and experience St. Francis Sunday School for yourself.

Children's Worship

Children’s Chapel is offered every Sunday morning during the worship services at 9:00 (in the Davenport Chapel) and 11:15 (downstairs in the Commons Room). During the summer, Children's Chapel takes place during the 10:00 am service. Any child ages 3 and up is invited to participate. Parents are also invited to accompany their child if they like. The service is aimed toward children ages 3 to 11.

Nursery Information:

We have a wonderful nursery for babies, toddlers and younger children who are not yet ready to sit through the service. Our Nursery Ministry is available on the lower level near the elevators. Our nurseries are staffed by volunteer and staff teachers.

If you have any questions please contact Jennifer Grady or Alison Kemper in the church office or by phone 502-228-1176.
