8 a.m. Holy Eucharist (Rite I) with Sermon

A quiet, traditional service with no music held in The Davenport Chapel


8:45 a.m. Nursery Ministry Opens


9 a.m. Adult Education in Graves Hall

The Forum with Dr. Duane Garrett. Dr. Garrett will be giving a brief commentary on the Sunday Lectionary for that day. Dr. Garrett is a John R. Sampey Professor of Old Testament Interpretation at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Childcare is available at this time.


10 a.m. Holy Eucharist (Rite II) with sermon

A family service with choir.  Appropriate for adults, families and children.  Children worship with families, leave for a children's service and return to join their families for communion.  The laying on of hands with prayer for healing is offered following the service.

Regular Sunday Worship Schedule

During the school year (September through mid-May), we follow a three service schedule with some exceptions throughout the year when we do alter that schedule for special events.

9 a.m. Holy Eucharist (Rite II) with Sermon

A family service with the Junior and Senior Choirs. Appropriate for adults, families and children.  Children worship with families, leave for a children's service and return to join their families for communion. The laying on of hands with prayer for healing is also offered at the conclusion of the service.


10:15 a.m. Education Hour

                           -- Education for Adults

                           -- Youth Group (Vicarage)

                           -- Children's Ministry (Downstairs) 


11:15 a.m.  Holy Eucharist (Rite I), with Sermon

A traditional service rich in scripture, psalmody, preaching, hymns and anthems.  The laying on of hands with prayer for healing is also offered at the conclusion of the service.



During the summer months (mid-May through August) we follow a 2 service worship schedule with Holy Eucharist at 8:00 am and 10:00 am. and no Sunday school.

The Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols is a service of Christian worship celebrating the birth of Jesus. The story of the fall of humanity, the promise of the Messiah, and the birth of Jesus is told in nine short Bible readings from Genesis, the prophetic books and the Gospels, interspersed with the singing of Christmas carols, hymns and choir music.
