Proper rest, good nutrition, appropriate school clothes, and supplies all contribute to success in school. In Jefferson County, there are students who are struggling to get the proper rest because they do not have a bed that they can call their own. They may sleep on a couch or a sleeping bag on the floor – but they are not getting the rest they need to thrive in school. The Build-A-Bed project is a chance to help these students.
We will buy lumber, hardware, and mattresses and in a few short hours, we will build 30 beds for school-aged children in our community who are in need. There is something for everyone to do! We will need time, talent and treasure!
Here are a couple ways you can help before the big day:
Any amount is welcomed, but here are some suggestions:
King Bed Level: $500
Pays for the lumber and mattress for a single bed
Twin Bed Level: $300
Pays for the lumber for a single bed
Snooze Level: $100
Pays for sheets, blanket, comforter, and pillow
Teddy Bear Level: $50
Pays for a stuffed animal, book, toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, and tissues
How to give:

Items we currently need:

Providing food for build day
The Brotherhood of St. Andrew men will be cooking hamburgers and hot dogs, but we need other dishes to round out the lunch. This is a great way to help if you can't stay for the project.
