This six-week class will be led by Lee Baucom. Lee will look at different techniques that will equip parents with loving, yet powerful tools for parenting children and youth. The class meets on Sunday mornings October 13, 20, 27, November 3, 10, and 17 from 10:15-11:10 a.m.
This dinner, at the home of Jeff and Melissa Calabrese, will be a wonderful event to bring the 20s, 30s, and 40 year olds of St. Francis together to enjoy an evening of fellowship. Join us as we come together for the Feast Day of St. Francis! We will have a combined celebratory Choral Eucharist (Mozart, Missa brevis in B-flat K. 275) at 10 a.m. in the church, followed by fellowship and a potluck picnic. Meat and drinks will be provided by the church, please bring a dish to share. The picnic and activities will be held in Graves Hall. We hope to see you there! Dress is casual.
Join us for a concert by Haitian children's choir Les Petit Chanteurs and the Chamber Orchestra of Holy Trinity Music School. This vocal choir of 30 boys, and eight-piece string ensemble from Port-au-Prince, Haiti, will perform choral and instrumental works of Haitian folk and sacred music. The program showcases Haiti's rich musical traditions, highlights the talent of the school, and draws awareness to Haiti's ongoing rebuilding effort, and need for assistance.
This year's speaker: Jane Chilton, a longtime resident of Louisville, taught Bible study fellowship for 11 years, served as a Bible teacher at Southeast Christian for 10 years, and currently leads Bible Study groups in her home. One of her greatest experiences was traveling with a small group to Bosnia, to encourage new believers in the wonders of knowing God through His living Word.
Workshop & Luncheon - $15/person
This fall on Wednesday evenings starting September 18, we will offer a class taught by Dr. Duanne Garrett on Paul’s epistle to the Colossians as well as a few other Old Testament readings. The class begins at 6:30 p.m. in the Davenport Chapel. Dinner starts at 5:45 p.m. in the Annex and is $8/adult per week. The menu will be the same as the Alpha Dinner of the week. Please sign up for this class in the Narthex and let us know if you plan to join us for the meal.

Alpha is a 10 week course that seeks to introduce the heart of the Christian faith through a series of talks and small group discussions. It is an opportunity to explore the meaning of life. It is a profound experience of learning what it means to be a believer for each person involved. The course is a personal adventure taken in a small group atmosphere.
Our fall semester of Tuesday Bible Study begins September 10 and will be a study on the life of the Old Testament women Ruth and Esther. Join us at 9:30 a.m. for a lecture from the Scriptures with The Rev. Bob Coon followed by Small Group discussion and prayer at 10:30 a.m.
In recognition and appreciation for our wonderful clergy, the Brotherhood of St. Andrew is sponsoring a special men's breakfast. There will be eggs, bacon and much other great breakfast fare. The breakfast will be on Saturday, August 3rd from 8 - 9 a.m. Please join us for this time of feast and fellowship.
Join us at Gravely Brewing Co for some good company, food, and brews. This will be a wonderful monthly event to bring our younger parishioners together to get to know each other and enjoy the summer weather.
How we define ‘young adult’: you are young at heart and would like to get to know other younger members of St. Francis (or non-members and maybe considering coming to St. Francis). You may be college age and single, or married, or married with children or none of the above. Our gatherings are open to all interested!

The Bickels will be hosting a family pool party on July 21 from 12-2 p.m. Bring your swimsuits, beach towels, and sunscreen, and enjoy an afternoon of fun and fellowship with other St. Francis families. The church will provide chicken. Families are asked to bring sides, desserts, and drinks to share.
Looking for something fun to do with your kids? Come hang out with us! We will meet up at the entrance of the zoo at 10 a.m. The plan is to walk around and see the animals, then head over the African Outpost at noon for lunch. You can bring your own picnic lunch or buy lunch at the zoo. After lunch we may head over to the Splash Zone to cool off.
