Women's Epiphany Dinner

Each year, the women of St. Francis gather for an Epiphany dinner. This is a wonderful time of fellowship and spiritual growth. Every year, Chef Garrett Sanborn provides a luxurious catered buffet dinner. Wine is served. Don’t forget to invite your girlfriends and family members!

The 2019 Women's Epiphany Dinner & Festival of Lights is January 8th at 6:00 pm. The cost per person is $30. When purchasing your ticket you can buy them online here, in the church office, or on Sundays.

2019 Epiphany Dinner Speaker: Debbie Houston

Debbie has a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from University of Virginia (in the second class of women to graduate from UVA), a Master’s Degree in Hearing and Speech Sciences with a specialty in Early Intervention from Vanderbilt University and a Master’s Degree in Theological Studies from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Debbie is the Head of School at Virginia Chance School, and is committed to children and their learning. Debbie has a passion for teaching the Bible and is an ordained Teaching Pastor at Journey: A Community of Grace Church. Debbie also serves as a Parent and Teacher Trainer of Stephen Glen’s Developing Capable Young People and Positive Discipline. She is a member of Vistage International, the world’s leading CEO organization. Debbie served 6 years as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Baptist Seminary of Kentucky. She has been a Pediatric Audiologist and Speech Pathologist, and has also taught Preschool, Kindergarten, and Primary 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade students. Debbie has also served as a Resource and Mentoring Teacher and Principal.

Outside of school, Debbie is an avid reader and loves to cook, spend time with her family and friends, grow herbs, and enjoy antiques and family treasures from the past. Debbie’s own heritage is part Native American so she enjoys collecting from the Cherokee tribe. She has been married to B.I. Houston for 41 years, and she has three grown children, three fabulous in-laws that are now her children too, and is “Dee Dee” to her 6 grandchildren.
