Welcome to Bp. Dan Martins, Guest Preacher and Teacher

Welcome to Bishop Daniel Hayden Martins, the eleventh and former bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Springfield, who will both preach and guest teach our Rector’s Forum on Sunday, December 8! The Rt. Rev. Martins was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, but was raised in Chicago. He attended Westmont College in Santa Barbara, California, and graduated in 1973 with a Bachelor of Music. He later studied at the University of California, Santa Barbara, earning a Master of Arts in Music History in 1975. He attended Nashotah House Theological Seminary, graduating with a Master of Divinity in 1989, and Doctor of Divinity in 2011. Martins is a member of Communion Partners and also serves as a trustee of the American Region of the Society of King Charles the Martyr and as Superior-General of the of the Confraternity of the Blessed Sacrament.
