Join us on Saturday, August 3, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., for a wonderful service opportunity coordinated by our Outreach Committee: our first ever “School Blitz” at Goshen Elementary School! The purpose of this event is to support and show love to an area school—including its teachers, students, bus drivers, and support staff—and help the school get ready for the coming school year. We will respond to the school principal’s priorities. The morning will likely entail “sprucing up” the school campus, meaning pulling weeds, trimming shrubs, and putting down mulch. Gloves and work clothes are therefore recommended. This project may also include inside fix-up or touch-up painting. Last year, ten Louisville churches served over 40 schools with over 1,000 volunteers at comparable “school blitzes”! The whole family is invited to volunteer this morning and contribute in a meaningful way to our neighbors.

Registration is required! Please email Emily Feeney at emilyf@sfitf.org or CLICK THE BUTTON BELOW by July 27 to sign up.
