Sacramental Preparation: Children’s Communion Class

This class is designed to provide instruction on the biblical story of the institution of the Eucharist, the “how” and “why” of our celebration of Eucharist, and the significance of the Eucharist to our life of faith. Parents are requested to attend with their child.

Each spring, we offer this course to 2nd through 5th grade children and their parents for two consecutive weeks during the Sunday School hour. Upon completion of the instruction, participants are invited to receive the Eucharist together during the 9:00 a.m. service on April 27 as a celebration of God’s ongoing work in their life and faith by grace.
