SUMMARY:Recital and Choral Evensong
DESCRIPTION:All are invited to our monthly offering of Choral Evensong\, the jewel in the Anglican liturgical crown and a beautiful and contemplative evening worship opportunity. Each Evensong service is preceded by an organ recital performed by a sacred musician of note and is followed by a reception presented by the Friends of Music Society. The recital begins at 4:30 p.m.\, with Choral Evensong following at 5 p.m. and lasting around an hour.

SUMMARY:September Recital and Choral Evensong
DESCRIPTION:Join us as we offer our first event in a new initiative called “Commonwealth\, Common Prayer\,” in which the St. Francis Parish Choir partners with sister churches in our diocese to offer Choral Evensong. \nThe 4:30 p.m. organ recital is played by Mengfei Xu\, Assistant Director of Worship and Music at Second Presbyterian Church in Louisville\, KY. Her program features music of Escaich\, S. S. Wesley\, J. S. Bach\, Karosi\, and Farrington. \nImmediately following the program\, the combined choirs of St. Francis and St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church offer Choral Evensong. All are encouraged to stay for a simple meal in Graves Hall\, where a member of the clergy staff will offer a lecture on the Gospel of St. Matthew. Childcare provided. RSVP and pay for dinner ($10) on Realm!
