SUMMARY:Beloved: A Youth Lenten Retreat
DESCRIPTION:From March 13 to 15\, our youth are headed up to Country Lake Christian Retreat Center\, located just north of Henryville\, IN\, where they will spend the weekend exploring what the Bible says about Love. Hint: God is Love\, and has called us his beloved. Our weekend will be packed with learning\, meditation\, games\, activities\, and a high ropes course! Between sessions of Bible study\, prayer\, and testimonies\, we will play games and grow together as a team. Did we mention there will be a high ropes course? SUMMARY:Rector's Forum: Virtue and Vice
DESCRIPTION:What actually moves us—toward goodness or toward disordered desires? The Christian tradition understands virtues and vices not merely as “good habits” and “bad habits\,” but as expressions—healthy or disordered—of deeply human desires. In this seven-week Rector’s Forum\, we will explore the classic virtues and vices as a mirror held up to our own lives\, helping us better understand what makes us tick. \nFramed within the lifelong\, Spirit-empowered process of “Sanctification\,” this class will invite participants into deeper self-knowledge\, greater wisdom\, and a more peaceable way of life. By attending carefully to character\, habit\, and desire\, we will consider how God\, by grace\, turns us from vice toward virtue\, and forms us more fully into the likeness of Christ. \nThe class meets for seven weeks\, from February 8 through March 22\, and is open to all who desire to grow in spiritual maturity and intentional Christian living.
