Are you interested in being Confirmed or Received in the Episcopal Church? Do you want to know more about Christianity and the way we live as the body of Christ? If so, you are invited to register for a new offering this spring: the St. Francis Catechumenate. The Catechumenate is the ancient name for the period of preparation before baptism, and St. Francis we expand that definition to include those preparing for Confirmation, Reception, and Reaffirmation of baptism. Everyone—whether new or long-time member of St. Francis—is invited to prayerfully consider participating in the catechumenate.
Our catechumenate journey will move through three distinct stages: Inquiry, Catechesis (during Lent), and Candidacy (during Holy Week). Classes start on February 27, during the Sunday School hour. Baptism will occur at the Easter Vigil on April 16, 2022. Confirmation, Reception, and Reaffirmation will occur on Sunday, May 15.
Inquiry starts now! To learn more or to register, please visit our Catechumenate page.
