Empowered by the Holy Spirit, our vision as Daughters of the King is to know Jesus Christ, to make him known to others, and to become reflections of God's Love throughout the world - starting right here at St. Francis in the Fields.

Some of our Ministries:

  • Provide caring services for Daughters in need.

  • Volunteers for Christian Legal Aid.

As Daughters we undertake a Rule of Life,  which can be thought of as a covenant between God and ourselves.  Our Rule of Life incorporates a Rule of Prayer, a Rule of Service, and Evangelism.

Our St. Francis Chapter meets September – May on the third Monday of the month.  We alternate between noon and 6 p.m. meetings to accommodate our working members.  Dues are $40 each year. A one time expense of $55 pays for your cross and fee.  Sponsorships are available for any woman interested in being a Daughter but could not manage the initial cost. There are three sessions of training given by Daughters in the Chapter before Admission. If you’re interested in joining, please contact Vicki Receveur at or (502) 417-8090.

Our Rule of Prayer

Daughters seek to grow and deepen their relationship with God through the Rule of Prayer.  We fulfill this vow by praying daily for; unity in Christ’s Kingdom ; God’s blessings upon members of our chapter and our clergy; and the spiritual growth of our parish.

Our Rule of Service

Through the Rule of Service a Daughter seeks to do the will of God every day.  It is an application of her baptismal vow in which she strives to be Christ’s faithful servant by growing His Kingdom, participating in worship and study, and assisting clergy in the outreach and work of the Church.

“Evangelism is the presentation of Jesus Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit in such ways that other persons may be led to believe in Him as Savior and follow Him as Lord within the fellowship of the Church”.

Each Daughter promises to make a faithful effort to live out this definition in her life.

Through our relationship with Christ, we strive to reach out to others both by loving acts and by joyously proclaiming our faith.

The Emblem of the Order

The emblem of the Order is a modified  Greek Fleury cross inscribed  in Latin, “Magnanimiter Crucem Sustine” means “With heart, mind and spirit, uphold and bear the cross.”  Daughters wear the cross every day as an outward and visible sign that we cannot live a day without Christ.  It reminds us of our commitment to Him and to His church.  It also reminds us of the bond we have with our  sisters in the order.
