As Episcopalians, members of St. Francis in the Fields are expected to make a mature affirmation of their faith in the Sacrament of Confirmation. Confirmation is the reaffirmation of the Vows that were made for us at our Baptism. Candidates are confirmed after the successful completion of a series of educational classes, held annually. Parishioners beginning 8th grade and older are encouraged to affirm their faith though the Sacrament of Confirmation.

Those parishioners that are already confirmed in denominations that are in Full Communion with the Episcopal Church will be received into this branch of Christ’s Church. Those who have been confirmed but have been inactive for a period of time, may Reaffirm their Faith when the Bishop comes for Confirmation. Please contact the Rector or one of the Associate Clergy to discuss eligibility if you are interested in Confirmation, Reception or Reaffirmation.

If you are interested in being Confirmed, Received or to Reaffirm your faith please contact the church office. Click here for more information on the sacrament of confirmation from the national Episcopal Church web site
