Join us Wednesday evenings, September 11-November 13 from 5:45-7:45 p.m.
Alpha is a 10 week course that seeks to introduce the heart of the Christian faith through a series of talks and small group discussions. It is an opportunity to explore the meaning of life. It is a profound experience of learning what it means to be a believer for each person involved. The course is a personal adventure taken in a small group atmosphere.
If you are new to St. Francis, Alpha is a great way to meet and really get to know new friends.
If you have been around for a while and have some questions about Christianity, or some of the teachings of the faith, Alpha is just the place to ask those questions and to reflect on them with others in an easy and comfortable setting.
If you have friends, neighbors, or co-workers who are asking you questions about your faith, you’ll want to invite them to Alpha.
The Alpha evening begins with dinner with your small group. Then there is a short talk given by a member of the team, either lay or clergy. After the talk, each small group will move to their designated room for discussion on the night’s topic.
On Saturday, October 12th from 9 a.m.-3 p.m., small groups will experience Holy Spirit Day. This event happens at a place away from St. Francis. Most people who have experienced Alpha say this day is one of the highlights of their adventure.
Alpha is a wonderful opportunity to invite friends and family members to experience Christianity in a non-threatening environment. We all know people we have thought about inviting. Pray about reaching out to your friends and family.
Cost for the program: $100 per person/$200 per family, Youth Alpha: $5 per session
