Welcome to

St. Francis in the Fields

from The Rev. Simon Barnes

On any given Sunday, come rain or shine, you will find myself or one of my colleagues on the front steps of our church extending a warm hand of greeting, ‘Welcome to St. Francis’.

While we all enjoy the beauty and majesty of our sanctuary and the expanse of our church campus, it’s not the wonderful buildings and magnificent setting but the people who make up our Church family. We are a community of sinners who experience the Grace of God through the teaching of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and the presence of His Holy Spirit in the sacrament of communion and in the richness of our worship drawn from our rich Anglican heritage.

But don’t take my word for it. I hope that you will come and see for yourself that we are an open, welcoming church that understands the authority of Gods word in our lives and the richness of its full expression.

Our services are a careful blend of traditions that we trust will allow all, whether you are single or a large family, older or younger, new to the Christian faith or a mature follower of Jesus, to feel that this is a place you can call your spiritual home. Additionally, throughout the week we offer programs for all ages ... an active children’s program, vibrant youth ministry, Bibles studies, lectures, concerts and the list goes on.

Stop by and you will hopefully agree, this is a place where you will feel welcome, even before stepping through the door.

I hope to see you soon.
