Parent Teaching Academy

The St. Francis Parent Teaching Academy (PTA) is our effort to equip parents to communicate the Good News of Jesus Christ to their children...and to proclaim Good News to parents who are the midst of the difficult work of raising those children!

In past sessions, Dr. Michael Nicholson taught a class called "Talking to Your Kids About Jesus" and Dr. Elizabeth Rightmyer led a discussion group called "Parenting S.O.S."

During the Fall of 2016, the St. Francis PTA will host a class entitled "Growing in Grace: A Primer for Christian Parenting." The class will meet in Rooms 201/202 at 10:15am (during the Sunday Education Hour) and follow the below schedule:

October 16: Who is Jesus?
October 23: Why Did Jesus Die?
October 30: Why and How Do I Pray?
November 6: Why and How Should I Read the Bible?

This class is open to all parents, and it is our hope that it will enable you to confront these imporant questions as you interact with your children on their journeys of faith.
