Travel through the land: from coast to desert to mountains visiting the places where in important Biblical events took place. Dig deep into the original context of the Scriptures and learn about God's faithfulness to his people in the past, present and future.
On November 2-14, St. Francis in the Fields is going on a trip to the Holy Land! Led by the Rev. Bob Coon, and in association with Shoresh Study Tours (and Alexander College), this tour includes sites from the Old and New Testaments as well as the history of modern Israel. We will also learn of God's work amongst believers in the land today. Jesus will always be the center of our studies, as we seek a better understanding of his ministry, his place among the Jewish people, and the application of his teachings to our lives today.
Some highlights include:
- The Golan Heights
- The Synagogue in Capernaum
- Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem
- King David's Citadel
- The Via Dolorosa
- The Garden Tomb
The cost of this trip is slightly variable--depending on how many people register--but will likely cost around $4,000, all-inclusive. Registrations and deposits ($500) are due by June 28.
