St. Francis in the Fields Church School

The Ministry of Teaching

Sunday School teachers play a vital role in the spiritual lives of children.  At St. Francis in the Fields, we are blessed with a group of loving and caring teachers for which we are truly grateful. During the school year, September through May, toddlers through high school-age children meet each Sunday morning at 10 AM with their peers (by grade level) for a traditional, bible-based Sunday School program.  We always welcome friends and visitors into our classes so please stop in and see what our classes are like.  We welcome you to come and meet your peers, the teachers and experience St. Francis Sunday School for yourself.

Our Sunday School classrooms are staffed with a team of volunteers.  Team members rotate to share the planning and leading of various learning activities with two team members in the classroom each week.  Please feel free to contact Cindy Thompson if you think you may be interested in joining a teaching team.  Other seasonal opportunities exist for Vacation Bible School and Wednesday night programs.

Once a month, Rev. Jennings and Cindy Thompson meet with one Sunday School class and their parents for a special "Taking Faith Home" event.  During these special Sundays, we teach the importance of practicing their faith at home and provide them with tools and helpful tips.

Schedules for the upcoming 2010-2011 Sunday School year will be posted in August.
