Growing Disciples to Bear Fruit

"I am the Vine you are the branches.  He who abides in me, and I in him bears much fruit for without me you can do nothing."  John 15:5

Sunday Morning Adult Discipleship Offerings

Loving the Lord With All Our Heart, Soul, Mind and Strength
Facilitated by Clergy and Ministry staff

Sunday, March 30, April 13, 20, 27, May 4, 11, 18

This is an opportunity for the parish family to gather and learn about the purpose and nature of our common worship.  Some of the topics we'll explore are:  the biblical mandate and expectations for worship of the living God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; the meaning of the sacraments; the role of music in worship; engaging our minds in worship through preparation and study; and reaching out to invite others into the worshiping community.

Worship is the most important thing we do together as a community of faith.  This class is intended to build our faith and our community through understanding and conversation.  You'll get the most out of the class if you can make most or all of the sessions, but feel free to drop in as you are able.

Baptism Preparation Classes
Facilitated by The Rev.
Deborah Apoldo
Sunday, February 10&17; April 20&27

Parents of infants and young children will gather for two Sundays to hear and discuss the basics of Baptism in the Christian faith and our sacramental understanding of this important Rite of initiation into the family of God.

Note:  This is a new requirement for all parents who wish to have a child baptized at St. Francis in the Fields.  Please contact Adrienne Beeuwkes at Adrienneb@stfrancisinthefields.org or 228-1176, to schedule your child's baptism.
