Harrods Creek Fire Protection District

A number of parishioners fulfill their outreach obligation by volunteering to support the Harrods Creek Fire Department as volunteer firefighters, explorers or auxiliary members of the department.  The unique partnership between St Francis and HCFD manifests also itself through a variety of annual events that we support: the annual WHAS Crusade for Children, an annual Halloween Party at Station One which serves to keep children safely entertained and off the streets, and the annual Christmas toy drive; "Toys for Tots".  Additionally the Department supports the parish events by providing safety and education opportunities and stages fire apparatus static displays in support of parish events.

Requirements For Membership

-be in good physical health,

-live in or near our fire protection district,

-be at least 18 years of age (14-18 year olds can join our Explorer Post),

-be able to give three hours a week towards training.
