Children's Communion Class

This class is designed to provide instruction on the biblical story of the institution of the Communion meal, the how’s and why’s of our celebration of Communion, and the significance of Communion to our life of faith.

As a community of faith we welcome all baptized Christians to receive communion however, we recognize that some training on the meaning behind this sacrament is helpful to parents and children. Parents, you are invited to attend with your child if you so desire however, this is not required.

Each Spring we offer this course to 2nd through 5th grade children and their parents for three consecutive weeks during the Sunday morning Christian Education hour.  Typically we have a sprinkling from each grade who wish to participate.  Upon completion of the instruction, participants are invited to receive communion together as celebration of God’s ongoing work in their life and faith by grace.

This class will be led by Rev. Debbie Apoldo for three Sundays in April/May 2008 during the 10 AM education hour.  If you are interested in attending please contact Lisa Ewing.
