Children's Communion Class

This class is designed to provide instruction on the biblical story of the institution of the Communion meal, the how's and why's of our celebration of Communion, and the signficance of Communion to our life of faith.

As a community of faith, we welcome all baptized Christians to receive communion. However, we recognize that some training on the meaning behind this sacrament is helpful to parents and children. Parents are invited to attend with their child if they so desire however, this is not required.

Each year, we offer this course to 2nd through 5th grade children and their parents for three consecutive weeks during the Sunday morning Christian Education hour.  Typically, we have a sprinkling from each grade who wish to participate.  Upon completion of the instruction, participants are invited to receive communion together as celebration of God's ongoing work in their life and faith by grace.

This year's classes will be held on February 28, March 7, and March 14 and will be led by Rev. Debbie Apoldo.  Participants will receive First Communion on March 21.  If you are interested in attending please contact Cindy Thompson.
