Caring for Our Armed Forces

As an outgrowth of our last Lenten Project to collect letters, food stuffs and hygiene items needed to boost the moral of our troops, many of whom are serving in austere conditions -

St Francis in the Fields is continuing its outreach to our troops serving overseas.  We have developed a specific list of items most needed and care package for each recipient.  We will be collecting funds to purchase the desired items to send and are soliciting support from members of the church who would be willing to financially sponsor one or more boxes. 

If you would like to write to our troops, or know the address of a friend or loved one currently serving who might appreciate receiving such a package, please notify the church office of your desire to assist in any of the following areas:

Care Package Sponsor (cost for purchase and mailing is $38.00 per box).

Assist in packing boxes - call the church office for time and location of the pack up party will take place. 

Write a member of the Armed Forces - we try to include a personal letter for each package - the church office has a list of names and addresses available.

You know someone serving in the military who would benefit from this ministry, would like to receive a package, or would like his name include on our prayer list.
