 What are Bible Bucks?

Bible Bucks is an incentive program built to encourage children enrolled in Sunday school toward good behavior, regular attendance, completing scripture memory work, bringing their bibles to class and even inviting friends to attend Sunday School with them.

Children age 4 through 6th grade have the opportunity to earn up to five bible bucks each week for:

  1. Attendance
  2. Behavior/Participation
  3. Bringing their Bible to class
  4. Reciting their Bible memory verse from the previous week
  5. Bringing a friend to Sunday school

Occasional extra credit Bible Bucks may be earned by successfully completing tasks from our Bible Detective homework.  The Sunday school teachers will reward the children weekly with actual Bible Bucks dollars like the one pictured above.  Once each month the children will be invited to visit the Bible Bucks Store to spend their earnings on various books, treats and toys.

There are several ways you can help if you are interested in participating:

  • We could use donations of items to stock the shelves of our Bible Bucks Store.  We need items such as gum, candy, pencils, stickers, new or gently used books, coloring books, toy cars, toy jewelry, or any other small item that can be easily stocked on our shelves.
  • We need volunteers to help run the store.
  • If you have a child in our elementary Sunday school program... please make sure they have a bible!  If your child does not already have a bible of their own, we recommend the NIrV or comparable version for this age group.

If you are interested in helping with this ministry please contact Lisa Ewing.  We hope this program will encourage, enlighten and excite our children into active participation in their spiritual growth.
